| Description: | The Ophthalmic Photographer is able to identify the anatomy of the ocular fundus and the structures through which the fundus is photographed. The incumbent is also able to perform sequential stereo fundus photographs and rapid sequence fluorescein angiography of the ocular fundus.

| Duties: | GENERAL RESPONSIBITIES
Equipment Operation
Performs sequential stereo fundus photographs and rapid sequence fluorescein angiography of the ocular fundus to include injections of fluorescein.
Processes and prints fluorescein angiograms.
Knowledge of the recognition of diseases of the ocular fundus and ability to print a representative photograph of the disease to the satisfaction of the physician.
Mobile Laser Service
Is able to assemble and align yag laser and argon laser for the accounts of the Mobile Laser Service.
Is able to troubleshoot malfunctions of the lasers while in the field.
Assists physicians with laser procedures.
Routine Maintenance
Routinely checks equipment in department to see that there is proper maintenance and cleaning.
Shares in the responsibility of maintaining a clean and safe department, meeting the standards of infection control and safety.
Maintains accurate reports, records, and files.
Daily Operations
Assists in the administration of the department; being responsible for controlling inventory, budget, quality assurance, and taking appropriate action and making recommendations as requested.

| Qualifications: | Knowledge of practices, equipment and supplies needed for procedures.
Skill in operating job-related equipment.
Must be able to identify and provide for age-specific needs.
Minimum Position Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
Ophthalmic Photographer experience preferred.
Ophthalmic Technician with technical knowledge of ophthalmic lasers preferred.
Photographer experience helpful.
Must hold current Indiana LPN licensure.
Certified Retinal Angiographer completed within 3 years of hire.
