Description:PRN POSITION: The Infusion Services Delivery Technician is responsible for delivery and pick-up of patient orders for medications, supplies and equipment in a safe, effective and timely manner. The incumbent also assists in designated activities related to cleaning and maintenance of infusion control devices and IV policies, processing internal supply orders, inventory control functions, and department performance improvement activities. Reports to the Infusion Program Manager.
Duties: Delivering and Pick-up of Materials
  • Performs daily vehicle inspection and maintains vehicles in clean and oproper working order.
  • Performs individual delivery of patient orders.
  • Pick-up of supplies and equipment at completion of patient therapy.

    Handling and Moving Objects
  • Assembles/packages medications, supplies, and equipment in appropriate delivery/shipping containers.
  • Prepares and affixes shipping labels, when necessary.

    Documenting and Recording Information
  • Obtains patient/caregiver signature as appropriate.
  • Reports all accidents, vehicle damage, moving violations or warnings and driver’s license suspensions.

    Monitoring and Maintaining Materials
  • Conducts in-home patient supplies inventories, as needed.
  • Maintains supply kit inventories in delivery vehicles.
  • Assists in cleaning, inspecting and performing functional tests of equipment.

    Operations Management
  • Assists in delivery confirmations, floor stock inventory transfers, and other billing functions.
  • Participates in coordinating/scheduling the processing and delivery of patient orders with the pharmacist.
  • Orders and returns equipment as needed from vendors.
  • Assists in ordering of inventory and non-inventory supplies.
  • Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with the Tippecanoe County and surrounding areas is preferred
  • Ability to operate department specific software.
  • Some computer and science training preferred.

    Minimum Position Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
